We don’t use trendy sugars, e.g. grape, sugarcane, coconut, or date sugar. We won’t even so much as suggest that erythritol is “melon sugar”. Because it’s sugar alcohol: despite the intimidating name, it’s neither sugar nor alcohol per se. It indeed occurs in melons, but we obtain it through corn fermentation. It’s sweet, but does not affect blood sugar, nourishes harmful bacteria, or induces inflammation. The same is true for the two other sweeteners used in Rebels chocolate—stevia and inulin. We use exclusively natural and organic ingredients in our products. But the fact of being natural and organic alone doesn’t guarantee safety—every mushroom forager will tell you that. All the ingredients of Rebels chocolate underwent scientific testing during clinical studies and are recommended by evidence-based healthcare specialists.
